A little bit of catching up

Dear Family and friends,   I'm sorry for my neglect over the last seven months.  I have only gotten a few comments of missing my posts but especially to those of you who live far away and miss the kids, I thank you for your understanding!  I'm going back to January to start catching up with some pictures and updates...

Many faces of Kinslie Faith.   We have several sets of these.  She's so funny!  Seriously every face is different.  And Brian just loves to egg her on to see how many faces he can get!  What a "Silly-Kins". (as I like to say!)

Ella's first day of ballet class!  She is very excited here.  We really enjoyed her ballet experience at the Esther Center for the Winter/Spring semester but she has asked to try gymnastics this year so we are looking into that.

January had some lovely cool weather so I definitely had to make my
Mother's Chili a few times.

Recipe:
2 pounds of ground beef
1 onion, chopped
46 ounces of tomato juice
3 cans of Joan of Arc spicy chili beans
1 can tomato soup
spices:  garlic, basil, chili powder, parsley and pepper

Brown and drain the ground beef.  Put all of the ingredients into a stock pot and simmer for one to two hours, stirring occasionally.  I don't have exact measurements for the spices.  I just sort of guess but it always tastes great!
Top with cheese and sour cream if you'd like and serve with warm corn bread!  Enjoy!

We also enjoyed a surprise visit from our much loved and missed friends, the Farnhams from Pennsylvania.
The kids stopped playing just long enough to snap a picture while at Play Mobil.

Flash-back to February coming soon...
